How to use crow in a sentence?
I drive past a Robert E. Lee statue... every day going into Virginia General Assembly knowing I'm their worst nightmare, a Black woman working to eradicate the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow that they worked to keep in place.
The analogy that comes to mind is Confederate statues, most Confederate statues weren't put up right after the Civil War. They were part of the spreading of the Lost Cause Theory, and then Jim Crow and segregation. They had a purpose in the eyes of the public.
That's not true at all. In fact, in every discussion I've heard about American history and how it should be taught, people are not opposing the teaching of slavery or the teaching of the Jim Crow period of American history and lynching, and all of that is not being opposed.
It's the most bald-faced attempt at disenfranchisement since Jim Crow.
Unfortunately, that Jim Crow lie is dangerous for election confidence, going back and using pejorative terms like Jim Crow—there is nothing in this bill like Jim Crow at all.
