English Synonyms and Antonyms
sure
That is authentic which is true to the facts; that is genuine which is true to its own claims; as, authentic history; genuine money.
A 'genuine' work is one written by the author whose name it bears; an 'authentic' work is one which relates truthfully the matters of which it treats. For example, the apocryphal Gospel of St. Thomas is neither 'genuine' nor 'authentic.' It is not 'genuine,' for St. Thomas did not write it; it is not 'authentic,' for its contents are mainly fables and lies.
Trench On the Study of Words lect. vi, p. 189. [W. J. Widdleton ]Authentic is, however, used by reputable writers as synonymous with genuine, tho usually where genuineness carries a certain authority. We speak of accepted conclusions, certain evidence, current money, genuine letters, a legitimate conclusion or legitimate authority, original manuscripts, real value, received interpretation, sure proof, a true statement, a trustworthy witness, a veritable discovery.

How to use sure in a sentence?
There are undoubtedly people who don't like the email stuff, and it makes me uncomfortable, i'm sure there are other people in the LGBT community who share that discomfort.
I'm sure it'll be the same again this year. Politicians may believe in North Korea, but I don't trust Kim (Jong Un) and I think their fishing boats will continue to come.
Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them, and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere. We've got to get the children connected to their parents.
Nowadays, it’s crossing the line, right ? It’s not bad if you’re the news for a couple of days, but you do n’t want to be the guy that ruins the night or someone’s moment, at the same time, you’ve got to be yourself. As comedians, we’re up on a tightrope trying to make sure people are entertained. But, again, we’re living in a hypersensitive society. You do n’t know where that line is sometimes. It moves from day to day.
What happened to me should have never happened. He was arrested in his office, i mean at the very least, the bare minimum would be to make sure that there's an aide all the time, and that's what's very painful is knowing that actually what happened to me could have been prevented.
