The reality is, unless you’re a pastor you have no idea what it’s like to be a pastor, it sounds obnoxious, but it’s true, and it calls upon every aspect of who you are as a person. There is a lot of burnout.

If you ask how a project is going and normally they give you a full lowdown, and instead they're now giving one-word answers... and seem completely disengaged with it, that is a sign a team member may experience burnout.
Burnout can be any sort of stressor -- it doesn't necessarily have to be work, it can be personal stress, home or family tension. It's anyone who is chronically stressed and who suffers from chronic exhaustion.
You can build your own resilience daily, we all have resilience. We need to work hard to build it. And that's the process of preventing burnout.
