How to use Entertained in a sentence?
I just couldn't register it in my head because as an American growing up in the United States, the First Amendment right is just ingrained in my brain, i never even entertained the fact that I would wind up in prison out here for something I put on Facebook in the United States.
If we had to do House Ways and Means Committee I would do House Ways and Means Committee, i mean that the idea that America would default on debt is so far removed from everything I've ever entertained or thought of since I've been here. I mean, I'm stunned that we even have these moments.
If I could have entertained the slightest apprehension that the Constitution framed by the Convention, where I had the honor to preside, might possibly endanger the religious rights of any ecclesiastical Society, certainly I would never have placed my signature to it.
Nowadays, it’s crossing the line, right ? It’s not bad if you’re the news for a couple of days, but you do n’t want to be the guy that ruins the night or someone’s moment, at the same time, you’ve got to be yourself. As comedians, we’re up on a tightrope trying to make sure people are entertained. But, again, we’re living in a hypersensitive society. You do n’t know where that line is sometimes. It moves from day to day.
A lot of serious news reporting has become more entertainment driven and more opinion-driven as opposed to factual, people book onto the shows, political figures, commentators who will be controversial who will be provocative because it's a good show. You might not learn anything but you might be entertained and I think that's just become an unfortunate pattern that I wish could be broken.
