How to use name-calling in a sentence?
There's a lot of rhetoric out there, some of which feels like name-calling, all of which makes the situation read as worse than it used to be.
The President, like all of us, they see what's happening, you got 800,000 people missing another paycheck, at no fault of their own. It could have a hit on our economy. Nobody is going to win out of this. And I think The President realizes and I hope the speaker of the House and( Senate Minority Leader Chuck) Schumer realize that we've got to get together and put the American people first and name calling second.
After the president tweeted at me, by name, calling me out the way that he did, the threats became much more specific, much more graphic. And included not just me, by name, but included members of my family, by name, their ages, our address, pictures of our home. Just every bit of detail that you could imagine. That was what changed with that tweet.
Because there was literal name-calling going on in the election cycle, even with students less politically engaged, that strong language and the harsher crassness of the rhetoric may have had a more broad effect on these students. it's not just along ethnic and racial discrimination lines.
Assistant State Attorney Nicole Chiappone:
That's not a derogatory word, that's not an inflammatory word, that's not commenting on his character, it's not even name-calling, it's what he's charged with.
