English Synonyms and Antonyms
parade
The phrase battle array or array of battle is archaic and poetic; we now say in line or order of battle. The parade is for exhibition and oversight, and partial rehearsal of military manual and maneuvers. Array refers to a continuous arrangement of men, so that all may be seen or reviewed at once. This is practically impossible with the vast armies of our day. We say rather the disposition of troops, which expresses their location so as to sustain and support, though unable to see or readily communicate with each other. Compare DRESS.

How to use parade in a sentence?
Whatever nonprofit organization is responsible for its operation must be properly constituted, comply with New York law, and be accountable and transparent, for years, Nelson Peña has run the parade without regard to these requirements.
I've never seen them so happy. The mood at Palmetto Ridge is in contrast to some other bands and performers who are refusing to attend for political reasons. Not one Washington, D.C., high school marching band will be in Trump’s Inauguration Day parade, the first time that has happened in six inaugurations. There are also online petitions gathering signatures to urge some marching bands to drop out, like the University of Tennessee-Knoxville’s and the Talladega College Band in Alabama. I don't look at it as a political issue.
If thou desirest that the pure in heart should praise thee, lay aside anger; be not a man of many words; and parade not thy virtues in the face of others.
Boston hosted the world’s first St. Patrick’s Day parade in 1737. New York followed, and then we took on this great idea in Ireland.
I love those players and I love how African they are and how French they are. I don’t take their French-ness away, but I don’t think you need to take their African-ness away, that is what I love about America. America is not a perfect country, but what I love about this place is that people can still celebrate their identity in their American-ness. You can go to a St. Patrick’s Day parade in America celebrating that you are Irish.
